It’s not easy being the actress wife of a mega-star Hollywood husband, so who on earth does Katie Holmes go to for advice?

It’s not Posh Spice – despite Posh's attempts to forge a friendship with the starlet – but Jada Pinkett Smith, wife of Will Smith.

'Jada is so strong. She is a rare woman – a phenomenal friend, mother, wife. She inspires me,' Katie, 29, reveals in People magazine.

Poor Posh. All those wasted pap shots of the two out shopping together. AND Katie copied her haircut! Tsk.

Tom Cruise, Katie's pint-sized hubby, is also feeling the love for Mrs Will Smith.

'Jada tells it like it is. She creates art in her life ... She's effortless. She just has such class,' he reveals.

The two continue to heap praise upon the Matix actress, saying they admire her work-life balance.

Tom, 46, tells the magazine, 'She is an extraordinary woman and an amazing mother. She's constantly wanting to improve herself and her family.'

'She's just a powerhouse,' agrees Katie.

What on earth has inspired such an outpouring of affection for the talented Jada?

Perhaps they’re just being nice – Jada, 37, once described Katie as 'a tigress who runs the show' back at Cruise Towers, and says the two families are friends because no one else understands their lifestyles.

Either that, or both couples are angling for decent Christmas presents this year. Not signed DVDs again?!
