Marie Claire Celebrity News: Dani Behr and Carly Zucker

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! kicked off a new series this weekend in classic style – tempers frayed, bikinis were tactically deployed and people were covered in bugs!

The group of 10 celebs (and we use that word lightly) have been split into two groups to compete for food and luxuries in the Australian jungle camp.

Blue star Simon Webbe lost the first trial, meaning his team had to sleep on a wet jungle floor and eat rice, while the other team feasted on sausages.

The second bush tucker trial saw Wag Carly Zucker – girlfriend of Chelsea star Joe Cole – and TV presenter Dani Behr go head-to-head in a bug-filled test.

Each contestant was suspended over the jungle in clear plastic booths that contained five tubes above their heads. Each tube was filled with creepy-crawlies including grasshoppers and maggots.

Each tube contained the key to the next and the only way to find it was unleashing the insects over their heads. The winner was the first person to empty all five tubes and pull a lever to be released from the booth.

Dani won the trial – but only just. She was just a second ahead of Carly.

This year’s competition is already hotting up, with rows, revelations and really tiny bikinis.

MEP Robert Kilroy-Silk accused Carly of being a control freak when she went to spy on him doing the washing up to make sure he did it properly.

Star Trek star George Takei – Sulu to you and me – revealed a long-running rift between Captain Kirk William Shatner and the rest of the cast.

Fellow Wag and glamour model Nicola McLean stripped off to a string bikini to take a shower, setting pulses and ratings soaring across the country.

There’s still weeks to go. What on earth have this lot got left to reveal?!

Has anyone else noticed what a poor performer Mat Willis is? He is constantly watching himself on the monitor. His sidelong glances are annoying too. He seems as though he is unsure of what to do. His wife is putting him to shame she is much more professional.
