Simon Cowell has spoken out in defence of Dannii Minogue, insisting that, contrary to rumours, the Aussie star will return to the X Factor judging panel next year.

Rumours have been flying that Dannii will face the axe since the arrival of Cheryl Cole, and Simon's affirmation that she will stay comes after Minogue admitted she had felt snubbed by him recently.

But Simon insists the panel will stay the same. He told Closer magazine: 'I’m not replacing her. As far as I’m concerned I think everyone’s coming back.

'You know what – Dannii’s got a job, Cheryl’s got a job, Lou Lou’s got a job and I’m there. I’m going to keep it as it is.'

But there's one person who won't be making a return anytime soon. He added: 'Sharon definitely won’t be back.'

It's not Danni that needs to be replaced, it's Louis! I miss Sharon though, she was fair and this years the tactical voting has got out of hand.

Well I'm glad Dannii is coming back, she's really grown on me. She's low key but she can hold her own while not letting her ego get in the way. Sharon I think, did have an ego and was quite belligerent and combative at times, I never liked her and her voice really grated.
