SJP puts brakes on SATC sequel

Sarah Jessica Parker at the MTV Movie Awards

Kim Cattrall may have confirmed the Sex and the City sequel, but Sarah Jessica Parker has urged fans not to get too excited yet.

Last week, during an appearance on The Paul O'Grady Show, Kim answered, 'Yes, there will,' when asked if there would be a sequel to the first movie.

But Sarah Jessica Parker has quickly put an end to the excitement, stating that the film is yet to get the go ahead.

'I'm thrilled to know Kim is excited but all the deals are not yet done,' the actress said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

She added, 'With "the wind on our heels" we hope to make it a reality.'

Rumours of a sequel have been circulating since the first film broke box office records this summer, grossing $408 million worldwide.

This latest episode is sure to fuel rumours that the two women do not get along - a rumour Cattrall was keen to quash during her interview.

'(I) loved those women,' she added. 'We wanted to the first time, and now we’re hopefully doing it again for the second time.'

this is so absurd that kim and sarah jessica are in a "Feud" they are both very nice people and for them to be in a disagreement is ridiculous. Although I love all of the women in this series I do have to say I think Sarah Jessica brought this "Feud" upon herself, I do not disagree with anything Cattrall Has said.
