Sarah Harding lands TV role
Sarah Harding has landed her first television acting role, playing a beautician in a new BBC drama.
The Girls Aloud star, who has been taking acting lessons of late, will star as the girlfriend of a City financier in Freefall – a new film about Britain's credit crunch.
'This is a film essentially about greed that in many ways has got out of control,' filmmaker Dominic Savage said.
'It is a film that reflects our obsession with wanting more, wanting everything, the desire in many of us to gain the world, but in doing so, potentially lose our souls.
'Freefall reflects those complexities, needs and conflicts that I believe exist in us all.'
Speaking to The Sun, Sarah said she couldn't wait to get started on the film, but was a little nervous about having to improvise in front of the cameras.
'Dominic Savage's films are all about improvisation, which is pretty challenging, but that’s also a big reason why I want to do the project.
'It's so different to what I'm used to.
'It's a bit nerve-wracking too not having all my girls with me. They're really supportive though, and can't wait to see the end result.'
