Peaches Geldof to star in Ugly Betty?

Peaches Geldof has been seriously working the New York scene of late, and now it looks like her hard work may have paid off, with news that she is set to star in Ugly Betty.

The Daily Star reports that TV bosses have approached the newly-wed, after being impressed by her presenting stint on Nylon TV.

'She was sending herself up a treat. It was clear that she is aware of how the public might perceive her and how she really is,' the source revealed.

They added, 'Peaches has a precocious wit. It's important to get guests on the show who are in on the joke and the Brits seem to do this the best.'

It is rumoured that Geldof will play a 'vacuous Trust Fund brat' in the show's next series.

The role would be quite a coup, as she would be following a long-list of stars to film cameos for the show, including Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell and Lindsay Lohan.

The news comes in the same week that Lohan has allegedly been dropped from the series, having her six episode stint on the show cut, after she reportedly fell out with stars such as America Ferrera, and behaved badly on set.
