Strictly Come Dancing star marries

He's shown he's got fancy footwork on hit show Strictly Come Dancing, and actor Tom Chambers hot-footed it up the aisle this weekend with his long-term love, Clare Harding.

The couple, who met when she was 15 and he was 20, married in Repton, Derbyshire, after delaying the wedding by one day so Holby City actor Tom could take part in Saturday night's Strictly Come Dancing show.

After the ceremony, where guests included Tom's co-stars from Holby City, the happy couple headed off for a three-day honeymoon in Leicestershire – and they'll be joined tomorrow by Tom's Strictly dance partner, Camilla Dallerup, to rehearse for next week's show.

The couple called off their relationship when they first met because Tom felt she was too young – but he promised to marry Clare one day.

And, after two near-death experiences made them realise they should be together, the couple became an item two years ago – and Tom stuck to his promise.
