Anne Hathaway is lined up to star in the Disney remake of Alice in Wonderland.

The Devil Wears Prada star, who has just finished filming Bride Wars with Kate Hudson, is set to play the role of the White Queen.

Anne will join a host of other A-list stars on set, including director Tim Burton’s wife, who’s set to play the Red Queen, Johnny Depp (the Mad Hatter), and rising star Mia Wasikowska, who’s been cast as Alice.

Little Britain star Matt Lucas is also rumoured to be playing both Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

The film will use a mixture of live action and new performance-capture technology to re-tell the famous children’s fantasy book by Lewis Carroll.
