Katie Holmes steps out with Suri

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise are fast becoming a regular feature on the streets of New York, and enjoyed another mother-daughter day out yesterday in the city.

Stepping out for a walk, the mum-of-one looked relaxed in skinny jeans and a long-length plum cardi, while the stylish tot looked super-cute in a denim minidress and gold Mary Jane pumps.

The Cruise women have been residing in a Manhattan apartment while

Katie stars in a production of All My Sons. The play has quickly become

the city's hottest ticket, bringing in $684,000 during its opening week

to make it the highest grossing play on Broadway.

The Arthur Miller penned production will officially opens on 16 October, after a period of preview performances.

Husband Tom Cruise has not been staying in the city, but has been a regular visitor, and the family have enjoyed a number of outings in the Big Apple,

including trips to the theatre, lunches at the famous Alice's Tea Cup, trips to Central Park and shopping at upmarket children's boutique Bonpoint.

I think the reason it's the 'highest grossing play' is because of Arthur Millers writing - not Katie Holmes' performance.
