Kate Moss let her hair down last night and took it upon herself to cheer up Jo Wood – with her mum in tow, too.

The supermodel took her mum and Jo to her best pal James Brown's 39th birthday bash at the Mayfair club Volstead.

Dressed in black PVC trousers and a black roll-neck jumper, Jo looked every inch the sexy rock chick, and showed errant hubby Ronnie exactly what he's missing.

And Kate was on hand to make sure Jo didn't get melancholy, with the pair enjoying Mojitos all night at the star-studded party.

Princess Beatrice also attended the bash, in her fourth night of partying in a row. The 20-year-old royal was accompanied by her boyfriend Dave Clark and her little sister Princess Eugenie, 18.

Other celebrities at the party included Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jack and Kelly Osbourne, Kimberly Stewart and Rhys Ifans.

But it was Kate who stole the style show in skin-tight leggings, grey ankle boots, a black leather biker jacket and a signature loose-fitting vest top. Her curled hair added a pretty twist and her simple silver necklace was stylish yet understated.

Wonder what Mum made of it all.
