Kylie Minogue was last night celebrating after becoming queen of the internet - picking up two gongs at the BT Digital Music Awards.

The songstress bagged Best Pop Artist for distributing her tunes digitally and for embracing the internet by communicating with her fans online.

Her social networking fan website Kylie Konnect (Kyliekonnect.com) – which allows her fans to make their own profiles online - scooped the awards for best innovation.

The 40-year-old pop star said: 'I'm so happy to have it recognised in this way. We worked really hard to make the site as exciting and informative as possible.

'It's for you, so enjoy and thank you. I'm really proud to be the first artist to have their own social networking site, I hope you continue to have lots more fun with it.'

The Wow singer didn't quite make it to a gong hat-trick, and was beaten to the Artist of the Year title by Radiohead.

The Brit rockers saw off stiff competition from Coldplay and Leona Lewis, after being praised for inviting fans to 'pay what you like' online for their album.

But Coldplay still managed to take home two trophies after being voted Best Rock/Indie Artist and Best Official Music Website for Coldplay.com.
