Jemima Khan and Shane Warne last night sparked speculation over whether they are more than just good friends, after they enjoyed a night out at Claridge’s – then seemingly tried to leave without being seen together.

Romance rumours have been rife since retired Aussie cricketer Warne - who divorced last year amid rumours he cheated on his wife - and Jemima were first introduced in 2006, with Australian magazines claiming they are an item.

The couple have enjoyed each other’s company since Jemima broke up with Hugh Grant in February 2007 – but the socialite has kept everyone guessing about their romantic status by meeting up with the Four Weddings and a Funeral star for the occasional drink.

It seems Jemima, whose marriage to cricketer Imran Khan ended four years ago, could just be enjoying the life of a singleton – and the attention of different suitors.

And maybe Shane Warne is the latest lucky man.
