Natalie Imbruglia is reportedly falling for the charms of football ace Freddie Ljungberg.

The Australian singer and the Swedish football star – not to mention Calvin Klein model – got up close and personal in a London bar at the weekend.

Freddie spotted Imbruglia across the room in trendy nightclub Whisky Mist and, in true footie ace style, sent over a bottle of Champagne to her table.

The picture-perfect pair soon got chatting, and Freddie’s smooth move seemed to do the trick.

One source told the Daily Mail: ‘They were soon sitting at the same table and chatting.

'They were getting closer and closer, and looked very cosy by the end of the evening.

'They were the very last ones out of the club at 4am yesterday after ignoring the bouncer's calls to leave so they could chat a little longer.’

Freddie is currently contemplating his next move, after East London team West Ham released him early from a four-year contract.

Meanwhile, since splitting from her husband, Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns, in January, L’Oreal model Natalie has been recording her fourth studio album, set for release later this year.

The former Neighbours star has also filmed her first leading role in Australian movie Elise, in which she plays an emotionally troubled woman trying to come to terms with her past, which is also slated for release later this year.

Let’s hope she can fit a bit of Freddie time in that busy schedule!
