Jennifer Lopez completes triathlon

Jennifer Lopez will be one proud new mum today after successfully completing a gruelling triathlon in LA this weekend.

The 39-year-old gave birth to twins, Max and Emme, just seven months ago, but managed to reach the finishing line in an impressive two hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds.

An ecstatic J-Lo punched the air as she made it to the end of the tough three-part competition, which saw the singer swim, cycle, and run to raise more than £70,000 for the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.

Beaming broadly, she said as she finished: 'This is an amazing day.

'I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water but, more amazing than that, I feel really great that we raised $127,000 for the Children's Hospital.

'Hopefully it'll go to good use.'

Husband Marc Anthony was on-hand throughout the whole tournament, and gave his determined wife supportive kisses in between event.

And Jennifer wasn't the only celebrity taking part. Fitness fanatic – and new dad - Matthew McConnaughy, who starred alongside J-Lo in the 2001 rom-com The Wedding Planner, completed the course in one hour, 30 minutes and 44 seconds, while Desperate Housewife Felicity Huffman and her hubby William H. Macy also took part.
