Guy Ritchie 40th birthday bash

Madonna helped Guy Ritchie celebrate his 40th birthday last night at his favourite London pub – The Punchbowl in Mayfair.

Madonna managed to hog the limelight as she turned up looking fabulous in a high-necked, beaded cream shirt and a fur gilet. Even the kids, Lourdes, Rocco and David, were allowed to stay up late to enjoy the party – and little David looked super-cute head-to-toe in tartan.

The night followed a Celtic theme, and saw Guy’s guests – including Sting’s wife Trudie Styler, David Gest and Kate Moss’s boyfriend Jamie Hince – belting out old Irish songs into the early hours.

Guy’s low-key bash was in great contrast to Madonna’s recent 50th, where the RocknRolla director spent £100,000 on food and drink for a party in the exclusive London club, Volstead.

Madonna is in the middle of her Sticky and Sweet world tour, and has this week been performing in Frankfurt and Rome.
