Fashion Rocks: Beyonce and JT shine
A who's who of the entertainment world turned out for the biggest party to kick off New York Fashion Week, Fashion Rocks at the Radio City Music Hall.
Now in its fifth year and with none of the music stars releasing new material in time for the event, the evening became a tribute to old classic tracks, which undoubtedly got the crowd moving their feet.
Cue Justin Timberlake ambitiously taking on Marvin Gaye's Got to Give It Up, Kid Rock and Mary J Blige delivering The Temptations' (I Know) I'm Losing You and JT returning to the stage to duet with pop goddess, Beyoncé, for their rendition of Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing.
Beyoncé, who is set to play soul legend Etta James in upcoming movie Cadillac Records, paid tribute to James, who was in attendance, by belting out her classic At Last.
Meanwhile, The Black Eyed Peas took on the Rolling Stones classic Miss You, mixing it up with Sly Stone and George Clinton's sounds, to produce a stunning soul spectacle.
Fergie of The Black Eyes Peas didn't quite hit the mark with her attempt at punk, dueting with a far superior Debbie Harry on Call Me. Harry looked half her age arriving at Fashion Rocks in a slinky black number.
And then there was Mariah Carey...who unleashed her new track, the disco-themed That Chick, to the world in true glamtastic Mariah style.
The fashion industry's elite were in attendance too, taking a breather from the runway madness of Fashion Week. Designers Valentino, Tommy Hilfiger, and Vera Wang worked the red
carpet in their own designs, while American Vogue editor, Anna Wintour, arrived in a dusty pink suit, set to cast her critical eye over the night's flurry of designer wears.
