Marie Claire Celebrity News: Madonna - Sticky & Sweet Tour

Madonna kicked off her Sticky & Sweet tour this weekend at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

The Queen of Pop may have reached 50, but showed no signs of slowing down, with the 45-date, two-hour show containing a total of eight outfit changes, a series of athletic dance routines, and all her greatest hits.

Taking to the stage on a giant throne, Madonna arrived in style, wearing knee-high boots and fishnets, and her first designer look of the night, a Givenchy bodice one-piece.

Next up, she jumped rope during the Old School section, which alluded to her roots in New York's 1980s urban dance music scene. Sporting knee-high socks, and an M-embellished hoodie, the singer seemed to have taken style tips from her 14-year-old daughter Lourdes, who has made the sporty style has signature look of late.

Givenchy was back for the third section, entitled Gypsy, where the singer wore a long cape embellished with coloured ribbons, over a black dress.

The decadent wardrobe features pieces from 36 designers, including Stella McCartney and Roberto Cavalli, and over £1 million worth of jewellery.

In all Madonna's shows she seems to think it attractive to keep spreading her legs and showing us her breakfast - make your mind up Madonna - porn actress or not?!

I seen this concert when it kicked off last Saturday in Cardiff and Madonna was brilliant. A true show-man, excellent remixes of classic hits, superb costumes and dance routines.No vulgarity or obscenity in this concert? The woman is a legend and puts women to shame half her age with her energy. Go MADGE!!!

I agree with Anon - I don't like looking at Madonna pics, I don't think her legs look all that good for all the exercise she puts her body through - and as for her arms - they look horrible - like a wrestler's - she's made enough money for Kaballah - leave the stage Madge - or give to charity - a worthwhile charity - you have obscene amount of money to frittle away! How are you going to manage Lourdes when she starts to copy you? Are you going to ban her and lay down the law - poor girl!

There's no doubt about it...she looks fab...and is fab....people that slate her....usually just jealous.....in fact always jealous....! Each to their own...there is no other show like a Madonna show!

Damn it I am giving Madonna props after all these years! She has managed to bypass Elvis on Billboard charts as having more top ten hits than any other artist for one! She has the highest grossing concert by a female artist ever and may even beat her own record with this tour! She stays more than one step ahead of the game and always looks fierce on stage and is quite the entertainer!!!! Madonna may be filthy rich and powerful but she has worked very hard at maintaining what she has! Viva Madonna!!!! See you in Miami on November 26th!!!!
