Kate Winslet has described her husband directing her sex scenes with Leonardo DiCaprio in their new movie as 'weird'.

Kate and Leo have teamed up in the upcoming Fifties drama Revolutionary Road – directed by Kate's husband Sam Mendes – 11 years after they co-starred in the Oscar-winning blockbuster Titanic.

And Kate admits that having their sex scenes filmed by her husband was just a little bit awkward.

She told Entertainment Weekly magazine: 'I just kept saying, "This is too ... weird". And Leo was like, "Oh, get over it". And I'm going, "Yeah, a little reminder: You're my best friend. He's my husband. This is a bit weird."'

Husband Sam – who also directed American Beauty and Road to Perdition – agreed it was strange. He said: ‘I will admit it was quite bizarre to direct my wife in how to make love. But it's difficult whether you're married to a person or not.’

But Kate revealed the spark they felt together while making Titanic was still sizzling.

'I hadn’t realised how much my chemistry with him since Titanic would still stick,' she said. 'It's great to discover we can just slip right into it, like muscle memory.'

The pair play suburban couple Frank and April Wheeler in Revolutionary Road, a film based on Richard Yates’ 1961 novel.

'We knew that if we were going to do something again, it had to be something big and emotional,' she says. 'Revolutionary Road is so painful and beautiful to read, simply because of the brutality of the honesty that Frank and April end up experiencing together.'

Only I have to say to kate in the act there is no a real love what ever the feeling was that only money you will get.

It's been over a decade since they've starred in a movie, im actually thrilled to see this. although, i don't know if it's going to be out in theaters

i saw titanic, and absolutely fell inlove with leonardo, i even named a teddy bear after him and i thought they were fabulous in titanic, and when i saw a poster advertising them both in a new movie, i just about screamed, i am so thrilled they are in another movie together! i just wish kate wasn't married and leonardo and kate got married. but not everything has a happy ending!
