Pete Doherty speaks on Kate Moss

Pete Doherty has confessed that he is still devastated by his split from Kate Moss, and no longer speaks to the supermodel.

Although Moss has moved on, and is dating Kills star Jamie Hince, Doherty told Loaded magazine that he had not dated since the end of their relationship.

'We haven't spoken since we broke up' the Babyshambles frontman revealed, 'When you split-up with someone, someone that you're seriously in love with, it takes a lot of time before you even realise that you're upset. You know? It just hits you.'

Speaking of life after the break-up, he explained that writing his new album had been a healing process. 'I think this next album's going to be a purge, a cleaning of the soul.'

He added, 'Anyone can feel amazing if you're with someone you love. There are moments in your life (when) you're genuinely happy and content.'

Doherty also spoke out on his relationship with Amy Winehouse, and said of her well documented issues, 'It's heartbreaking really.

'She's not been married for a year and her old man's locked up' he added, 'It's a lonely life and she's completely hounded by the papers. I feel so, so sorry for her.'
