Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick at the Then She Found Me premiere

Reports have surfaced in America that Sarah Jessica Parker's husband of eleven years, Matthew Broderick, has been having an affair with a 25-year-old youth worker.

Like a painful relationship glitch for Carrie Bradshaw, we just can't believe SJP's real-life, rock-solid marriage could ever be in jeopardy, but US rag Star has made the claims, alleging Broderick strayed while his wife was on set last year filming Sex and the City: The Movie.

Adding fuel to the fire, Broderick's rep Simon Hall has not denied the lurid allegations, instead telling Star magazine he had 'no comment'.

The unlikely accusations say Broderick met the 25-year-old unnamed woman in a Manhattan bar last November and was apparently seen walking towards the woman's apartment carrying wine and flowers. It is alleged he was subsequently seen making late-night visits to see her over the following month.

SJP, who has a five-year-old son, James Wilkie, with Broderick has spoken openly of the ups and downs of married life before and admitted their marriage - like anyone else's - is tumultuous at times.

In an interview earlier this year, SJP said: 'I'm really lucky that he is the father of my son, but that doesn't mean that we always agree on everything. We've had some rather treacherous train rides.

'I'm happy to be with him regardless, but I'm sure there are many times he wishes he wasn't with me.'

This is all so sad. Is it too much to ask for men to be faithful to their wives? I too am a wife whose husband has repeatedly cheated. I can just imagine what SJP must be going through. My heart goes out to her.

Men just can't keep it in!!! Whether you're a celebrity or unknown, a husband will always be flattered by whoever compliments him!! I was married for 32 years to what I thought was a solid a-bit-boring but faithful man, but a floozy came along and turned his head - she was the mother of our daughter's boyfriend for Christ's sake, so it was a double blow!!! She ended 23 years' marriage to a "boring" husband and got lumbered with mine - what she didn't know was my husband's medical condition - it nearly blew her away when she found out but it was too late by then to go anywhere else!!!! I call it rough justice!!!

Glass Houses and throwing stones? As if women can stand there and make judgements about fidelity? Neither of the sexes are innocent of this carry on and both sexes are victims unfortunately.

Yes, it is too much to ask a man to be faithful. And before you go pointing the finger, just remember women are unfaithful too so I don't buy the argument that men are cheaters. Women are very good manipulators and liars and they see nothing wrong with that behavior. Besides, so what if he slept with another woman. At lease he still supports his child and it isn't cheating until he falls in love with her so it's only a physical release anyway. Just deal with it.

SJP is so homely & I saw her act so arrogant & rude once, that I don't know why MB ever hooked up w/her. Rock on Feuller (my name for Ferris Bueller).
