Gwen Stefani's Wimbledon bump
By Ruth Doherty on Monday 7 July 2008
Gwen Stefanis baby may not have been introduced to the world yet, but he or she - has already enjoyed top seats at a nail-biting Wimbledon mens final.
The singer who looked stunning in a strapless graphic-print maxidress cheered on good pal Roger Federer, along with her husband Gavin Rossdale and Federers girlfriend Mirka Vavrinec.
But, their constant shouts of support didnt have the desired effect, and the trio had to watch Federer lose the title hes won at the last five Wimbledon tournaments to Spanish ace Rafael Nadal.
Rafael Nadal won the first two sets 6-4 when the rain began to fall during the third set with the score at 5-4 to 26-year-old Federer. But the star failed to fight back and secure a sixth Wimbledon win, losing to Nadal in a tense five-set epic.
The No Doubt singer and her husband have been firm friends with the world number one for more than two years.
Last week the tennis talent accompanied the couple and their son Kingston, 2, to the London zoo, while enjoying a day off following his early win against Dominik Hrbaty.
Stefani, 38, is expected to remain in London until she gives birth, which she is due to do next month.

Yeah, very nice, but she looked bored the whole time (not like the husband)... I guess she has no clue of how exciting tennis is, specially when RF is playing. I feel sorry when Americans act so provicial.

Too right! the others jumped up when Federer scored points, but GS looked like ... well, maybe she was hungry and would have prefered to watch it all on TV at home? She is pregnant after all, and it was a VERY long match. She's probably ready for a bath and bed by 9.30pm!
