Amy Winehouse collapses

Amy Winehouse was in hospital last night after collapsing in her home.



The frail-looking singer was taken to hospital by her dad, Mitch, after he received a phone call from her manager's assistant, who was there when the star fainted.



A rep for Amy confirmed: 'Amy was at home this afternoon when she briefly fainted. Fortunately, her manager’s assistant was there to stop her falling.



'She quickly recovered and her father Mitch took her to hospital as a precaution. She may be kept in overnight for observation……They want to make sure she is OK, but it wasn’t an emergency dash.'



Nevertheless, the latest scare has renewed fears for the singer's health. Friends are concerned her party-hard lifestyle, stress, insomnia, and recent weight loss prove she is not coping very well.



One friend told the Mirror: 'Amy is not looking after herself and is under immense pressure at the moment with Blake in prison.



'This collapse was a real shock for her. Thankfully she came round shortly after she blacked out.



'Amy has suffered from bulimia in the past and has lost a lot of weight lately. And with flying out to Moscow this week to perform for Roman Abramovich and dealing with Blake's trial, it's no wonder she has been feeling weak.'
