Elizabeth Hurley has opened her heart in a candid interview about her relationship with former boyfriend, Hugh Grant.

The model-turned-actress says the pair, who dated for 13 years, would have had a large family by now if they’d stayed together. She told Harper's Bazaar: ‘Sometimes Hugh and I can get morbid and say we could have had five children by now, because we were together since we were 21. But there was never a time when either of us wanted it. So you can’t really regret that.’

Liz, who married Indian businessman Arun Nayar last year, also said she thought Sandra Bullock would have been the perfect match for her Hugh, who is currently single after splitting from Jemima Khan. She said: 'Women flock to Hugh. He’s like Austin Powers: Everyone worships him,’ adding that Sandra Bullock – his co-star in Two Weeks Notice – would’ve been ‘a great match for him’.

Hugh and Elizabeth split in 2000, but have remained close friends ever since – Hugh is even godfather to her son Damian, who she had after a brief fling with Hollywood producer Steve Bing.

It’s lucky that new husband Arun is also a fan of Hugh, because Hurley added: ‘If I’m alone with Hugh, Arun and Damian, I can turn off my cell phone…No-one else really matters.’
