Britney Spears’ mother, Lynne, is set to release her memoirs about raising two famous daughters this autumn, publishers have confirmed.

A spokesman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational books and Bibles, revealed: ‘When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold. [But] Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother's eyes.’

He added that Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World is likely to be released in September.

Nelson insists that ‘it will not be a parenting book’, and that, instead, ‘It's her story of what it was like being a mum and raising two very famous people. It's a memoir.’

Quite what the rest of the family will make of it is another story.

Why does she want to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother's eyes.' Her children are mainly known for getting pregnant at early ages, falling out of night clubs in the early hours drunk and having mental breakdowns..... If I was a mother I would be embarrassed that I did not discipline them and bring up my children better and teach them how to handle media better, and not run off the rails. Where was she when her children were getting drunk and sleeping with men at an early age!?
