How to get into ...

Keira: Brunette to Fair Lady?

By Ruth Doherty  on Monday 9 June 2008

Keira Knightley

Keira Knightley is set to star as Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle in a big-budget remake of the old movie classic My Fair Lady.

According to Variety magazine, the 23-year-old star of Atonement will be stepping into the shoes of Audrey Hepburn, who made the role famous in the 1964 Oscar-winning musical.

Film producers insist the remake will stay true to the original version and its 1912 London setting.

Columbia's Doug Belgrad said: ‘This update will preserve the magic of the musical.’

She looks emaciated! She's a terrible roll model for young women today and should not be allowed to work until she looks healthy!

How wonderful! My Fair Lady is the ultimate classic movie and one of my favourites - full of romance, fashion makeovers and glamour! Kiera seems a good choice and I will definitely be interested in seeing the finished movie!
