Angelina Jolie on Brad, birth and babies
Rex Features
Angelina Jolie has revealed that her partner Brad Pitt finds her irresistibly sexy when she’s pregnant.
In a frank interview with Vanity Fair, Angelina – whose rep denies recent internet rumours that she’s already given birth to twins – reveals that Brad finds pregnancy ‘very sexy’ and that she found giving birth painless and a ‘miracle’.
On being pregnant, she said: ‘I love it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. Also, I'm fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depending on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.’
The A-list actress, currently holed up in a 35-bed, $35 million chateau in the South of France awaiting the arrival of twins, also spoke of her experience of giving birth to her first biological child, Shiloh. She revealed: ‘We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don't think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing.... I had a C-section and I found it fascinating. I didn't find it a sacrifice and I didn't find it a painful experience. I found it a fascinating miracle of what a body can do.’
As well as talking about pregnancy and birth, the Kung-Fu Panda star also gave an insight into the couple’s parenting style, when she said artists are more likely to raise other artists. ‘Artists raise their kids differently,’ she said. ‘We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It's what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.’

They said she had a C-section because Shiloh was in breach position and so she could not give birth the natural way. I also read that she said she wanted to give birth the natural way if she could have.

Not painful. I find that hard to understand. The body does do amazing things but it isn't meant to be sliced up and produce a baby. The body is designed to push a baby out the usual way. I have never heard why she didn't give birth naturally as if it's an everyday and natural way to have a baby. If she has these two naturally she will really feel even better and so proud her body did what it's supposed to do. It makes you proud of what you’ve just achieved. Bonding is instant with a natural birth so she is lucky she didn't have problems, but here's some good luck Angelina. Best wishes for a natural birth.

Hang on a minute. I think Angelina is a great woman and all that. It's just that, well, she hasn't given birth yet. The doctors gave birth to her first child. Being butchered is extremely painful. You beg for another painkiller. This time Angelina should give birth to her own babies and I sincerely that she does this time. It's like doctors n so on who brag about how many babies they've delivered. It's the mother that delivers the baby not the person waiting just to catch it. Nothing annoys me more than these folk trying to take the credit from us mothers.
