Indiana Jones hits Cannes festival
Rex Fetaures
Harrison Ford returned to the red carpet in Cannes last night to promote the big blockbuster movie of Cannes, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
After a 19-year absence and months of hype, the now 65-year-old returned as the whip-cracking explorer for the fourth in the hit movie series.
Ford was joined on the red carpet by long-term girlfriend Calista Flockhart, wearing a cobalt blue, asymmetric gown.
Joining the couple at the film's world premiere were the director and producer, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. But it was co-star Cate Blanchett who stole the show, cutting a svelte physique in a smoky grey layered gown.
Other stars who glammed up on the Riviera included Goldie Hawn who accessorised her strapless cream dress with a pair of sunglasses, whilst Salma Hayek, Tamara Mellon and partner Christian Slater all turned out for the premiere.
After rumours of a reunion last week, Kelly Brook and Billy Zane seemed to have put their break-up firmly behind them and appeared all smiles, arm in arm for the cameras.
The hottest party ticket was Vanity Fair's annual black-tie ball. This year's party took place on billionaire Paul Allen's yacht and pulled in a celebrity-filled following. Guests included Sean Penn, Natalie Portman , Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Salma Hayek and Petra Nemcova.
