Mariah Carey Lighting Ceremony at the Empire State Building to Celebrate the Success of Her New Album 'E=Mc2

Mariah Carey has married her rapper fiancé Nick Cannon in the Bahamas, it has been claimed.

According to the Mirror, the singer and her boyfriend tied the knot in a 'very impulsive' ceremony in front of just a few friends.

Only days earlier, Mariah was seen sporting a £1.25million engagement ring, designed by Jacob & Co. Jewellers.

The 10-carat platinum and pink diamond love-band features fifty-eight pink diamonds and two half-moon diamonds on each side, according to In Touch Magazine.

'It has a square, emerald-cut fancy light-pink diamond as the center stone that is 10 carats,' the jeweller says. 'It is surrounded by 58 pink diamonds, with two half-moon diamonds on each side.'

The newlyweds have been dating for just a month.

Going on and on about how many carats the ring is just makes me yawn and yawn. They haven't known each other two mins and now they're married !!! Well, place ur bets ladies and gentlemen as to how long it will last ??
Well known people quite often seem to marry in haste, why is that i ask? We don't really need to get married in order to make a commitment to a partner do we ?
