A friend of Billie Piper has confirmed she is expecting her first child after pictures of the star on holiday with a rounded tum last week sparked speculation.

A pal told The Sun that Billie, who is enjoying a romantic break in Mauritius with her husband Laurence Fox, is three months pregnant. The friend said: 'Billie and Laurence are both absolutely over the moon.

'They are stunned as they only wed on New Year’s Eve but they can’t wait to be parents to their little Fox.'

The couple, both actors, are said to have broken the news to family before they jetted off on holiday.

The pair met when they both starred in West End stage play Treats in late 2006. They moved to a house in the Sussex countryside soon afterwards.

The source added: 'One reason they wed just a year after meeting was because Billie was already feeling broody.'

What a good role model for young women today ----------actually getting married before being pregnant. She obviously believes in marriage and I hope this works out better than her first -------with yummy Laurence it cant fail!!!!!!!!!!!!
