She might be nearing 50, but Madonna.html">Madonna is constantly proving she's still the savviest singer in the music industry – the forward-thinking star is now set to perform live on the internet.

The Queen of Pop has confirmed she'll play a one-off show at New York's Roseland Ballroom on 30 April, and the gig will be broadcast live to US viewers on msn.com.

The concert will be re-broadcast on 15 May for the rest of the world. Tickets for the show will not be pre-sold; customers of US communications giant Verizon will be able to compete for many of the tickets and other potentially lucky fans will need to line up outside the Roseland to receive tickets on a first-come basis.

The concert will mark the first time Madonna has performed songs from her hotly anticipated new album Hard Candy, which is released on 29 April.

And if her Madonna-s-hard-candy-cover.html"> album cover – in which she dressed up in thigh-high boots and a wrestling belt – is anything to go by, it'll be a sizzling show.
