Pete Doherty jailed
It looks like Pete Dohertys luck has finally run out he was yesterday jailed for skipping rehab after repeatedly escaping jail sentences for drug offences.
Pete had been ordered to take regular drug tests as part of a four-month sentence, suspended for two years. It was imposed last October after he admitted possession of crack cocaine, heroin, ketamine and cannabis.
Since then, the singer has breached his probation conditions by missing two appointments, turning up late and being rude to staff.
He was finally hauled before West London Magistrates court yesterday, where District Judge Davinder Lachhar slammed his unacceptable behaviour and mixed response to treatment.
Last night, Dohertys lawyer Sean Curran said: Pete obviously didnt want to go to prison but he was philosophical. Hes not an angel.
He accepts the order of the court. Hell be back.
It is not the first time Pete has seen the inside of a prison he was sent down for six months in 2003 for ransacking Libertine bandmate Carl Barats flat.
He has since been remanded in custody over drugs but has managed to dodged any jail sentences
until now.
His incarceration will mean the singer will miss one of the biggest performances of his life at the Royal Albert Hall. But his music company EMI said it would re-schedule the gig, and apologised to fans.
The Babyshambles star reportedly threw his head back in despair upon hearing the sentence, and one pal revealed: Pete will be devastated. Hell be sobbing his eyes out. Hes absolutely terrified of prison.

Good! He deserves jail. People who take drugs and make it look good SHOULD be sent down. And Pete's day has finally come!

I disagree. Plenty of people enjoy drugs recreationally without harming anyone, including lawyers, judges etc. However, I do think he should receive a sentence for blatantly flouting the law on several occasions.
