Madonna to adopt Indian baby?
Rex features
Rumour has it that Madonna is set to adopt another child this time an Indian baby.
The Queen of Pop has reportedly given up on her search in Africa, due to frustrating red tape and, after enjoying a New Year holiday in India, has decided to focus her adoption search there instead.
Sources told the Sun she would fly out to choose a baby after she's finished promoting her new album, Hard Candy.
Her husband, Guy Ritchie, is said to have come round to the idea after initially disagreeing with it.
The couple took kids Lourdes, 11, Rocco, seven, and adopted Malawian son David, two, to India in January.
They met Bollywood choreographer Sandip Soparrkar who has adopted an Indian baby.
Sandip said: 'We spoke about how there are so many children in India who need homes.'
A source revealed: 'Madonna was very taken with Sandip. He told her there were orphans who would melt her heart. Guy was against the idea, but when she wants something, she gets it.'
The two-year bid to adopt David was said to be 'very stressful' and Guy was said to be worried about going through it all again.
The source added: 'He has always been unsure about adoption as his own mother was adopted and had negative experiences of that.
'But they talked and talked and decided adopting a baby from India would be easier.'
Meanwhile, Guy is said to be planning a country-themed party for Madonna's upcoming 50th birthday bash.
The event will take place at Ashcombe, the couple's £9 million estate in Wiltshire, and will involve a day of shooting.
One friend said: 'Madonna's birthday falls on a Saturday in August and Guy is planning a riding, clay-pigeon shooting and English manor-themed weekend.'
On the guest-list will be close celebrity pals Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin and Vinnie Jones, who will all have to dress in tweeds.
