How to get into ...

Britney still ill

Britney Spears out shopping in LA

Kevin Federline's lawyer has warned people not to celebrate Britney Spears' recovery too prematurely.

Mark Vincent Kaplan says he believes her father, Jamie Spears, is doing a great job of heading her in the right direction, but that she still has some way to go to beat her demons.

'Jamie is doing a really good job,' he told People. 'There was a situation and that seems to be stabilised. Does that mean she's cured? Of course not.'

Britney has been receiving less negative press and positive reviews of her guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother. In fact, the CBS sitcom hit an all-time ratings high when Spears guest-starred as 'Abby the Assistant', and series producers are reportedly looking to see her reprise her role in at least one more episode.

But Kaplan feels it will take time for Britney to get over her emotional problems, although he calls Jamie's steps to improve Britney's lifestyle 'smart', adding: 'Obviously before Jamie, it wasn't a question of what was going to happen - it was a question of when.'

And on his professional interest in the case, he said: 'I look forward to the time when I can be bored.'

Of course Britney isn't cured. Bipolar is a lifelong condition that you have to manage every day of the rest of your life. Doh! I am schizophrenic (Note, NOT interchangeable with the flagrant misuse of the word as a psychopath or split personality, both completely different thank you, since the incidence of violence among the schizophrenic population is identical to that of those who do not hear voices) and the ignorance of mental health problems never ceases to amaze me.
