Corinne Bailey Rae's husband 'overdosed'
A coroner has ruled that soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae's husband died of a 'suspected drug overdose', it has been reported.
The body of saxophonist Jason Rae, 31, was found in a flat in the Hyde Park area of Leeds on Saturday.
Deputy Assistant Coroner Roger Chapman said a pathologist's report pointed to a 'suspected drugs overdose'.
The inquest was adjourned to an as-yet unfixed date for further investigation - more tests are needed - but a preliminary conclusion of a drugs overdose has been formed.
Det Supt Steve Payne told the hearing at Leeds Coroner's Court there were no signs of trauma or violence or any significant natural disease signs.
The musician's body was identified by his sister-in-law, Amelia Atterton.
Leeds-born singer Corinne met her husband while working at a jazz club in the city and they married in 2001.
She is said to be devastated by his death. Her record label, EMI released a statement saying: 'EMI Records would like to offer its sincere condolences to Corinne Bailey Rae and the Rae family at this tragic time.'
Jason's band, The Haggis Horns, have played as a backing band for Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and Bailey Rae herself.

Your beautiful voice and songs helped me through a time when I was feeling at my lowest. Thank you. Everytime I hear'like a star', I am transported back to a feeling of summer and waking up emotionally. I truly hope you find happiness again and a reason to smile.
