Heath Ledger's will revealed

Heath Ledger

Leaked details of Heath Ledger's will has revealed he left everything to his parents and sister, and nothing to Michelle Williams and their daughter, Matilda - but Heath’s dad insists ‘they will be taken care of’.

In 2003, before he starred in Brokeback Mountain, the star, who died of an accidental prescription drug overdose on 22 January, wrote a will in which he left everything to his parents and sister.

The will was written before he entered into a relationship with his Brokeback co-star, Michelle.

A series of documents filed in Manhattan Surrogate’s Courts revealed that the actor had less than $145,000 in New York assets, including a $25,000 Toyota Prius and $20,000 in furniture. His greater wealth, including trust funds, Australian properties and the Brooklyn townhouse he once shared with Williams is unclear.

But Heath’s dad, Kim, was quick to put any fears that Matilda Rose and Michelle would not be provided for to rest.

He said in a statement: ‘Matilda is our absolute priority and Michelle is an integral part of our family.

‘They will be taken care of and that's how Heath would want it to be.’
