Sarah Jessica Parker’s latest movie may be scrapped – because the finished project has failed to find a distributor.

The sassy Sex and the City actress shot Spinning into Butter, in which she plays a college dean dealing with a race hate crime on campus, with Miranda Richardson and Beau Bridges.

Filming for the movie wrapped and it was due for release in 2007, but was hit with a string of delays as producers struggled to get it into cinemas.

Now, SJP has resigned herself to the fact the film may not ever be aired for public viewing.

She lamented: ‘It's in that purgatory that many movies find themselves. One enters these endeavors with the best of intentions, but sometimes they don't work out.’

The actress doesn’t need to worry too much - the most hotly aniticipated film of 2008, Sex and the City: The Movie, is a pretty safe bet.
