Amy Winehouse to play V Festival
After last year's disappointing V cancellation, Amy Winehouse fans will be pleased to hear the singer has signed up to perform at this year's V Festival instead.
Due to her track-record of pulling out of performances at the last minute, organisers decided to play it safe and give headlining slots to The Verve and Muse.
One source said: 'Amy is a massive coup. But with her record of dropping out of gigs at the last minute, bosses couldn't risk putting her at the top of the bill.'
As well as Winehouse, other bands to take to the main stage include Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, The Kooks, Girls Aloud and The Feeling.
The festival will take place in Chelmsford, Essex on 16 August, and in Weston Park, Staffordshire, on 17 August.
