Just when we thought Gwen Stefani couldn’t get any cooler, she goes and totally rocks an avant-garde cover shoot for V magazine.



The fashion designer and pop star looks seriously edgy in a Harlequin-style Miu Miu dress and patent heels.



She might look fierce and fashion-focused on the outside but, in her interview, Gwen goes all mushy when talk turns to her 21-month-old son, Kingston.



‘I'm gonna start crying when I talk about this because it’s just so... it's so intense,’ she tells the magazine.



‘I put him to sleep at night and, you know, I'll be rocking him to sleep and he'll be playing with my hair and...it's just the most amazing feeling in the world.’



The singer, who is expecting her second child, also quipped: ‘It’s fun trying to get pregnant!’
