Britney drugged allegations
Police in Los Angeles have confirmed they are investigating allegations that Britney Spears was drugged.
Britney's former manager and friend, Sam Lufti, is under investigation by the Robbery Homicide division of the LAPD for supposedly drugging the troubled star.
Head of the enquiry, Police Captain Kyle Jackson, says the drugging claims 'are being considered' although an official investigation is not yet underway.
Jackson told the Associated Press: 'The issues regarding Britney are being considered by the department to determine if laws have been violated. At this time we don't know whether or not a formal investigation will be initiated.'
The allegations were made by Britney's mother, Lynne Spears, who stated in recent court papers that Lufti had drugged her daughter and cut her home phone line.
The accusations made against the ex-manager lead to a restraining order against him, forbidding him from coming within 250 yards of Britney.
Meanwhile, the Britney saga continues with reports that her on-off boyfriend, Brit paparazzo Adnan Ghalib, has revealed to friends that Britney is expecting his child.
Speculation the star was pregnant came after magazines Life and Style and US Weekly commented on Britney's stomach bulge.
To add insult to injury, Ghalib has reportedly just signed a tell-all deal with a British tabloid and will reveal what life is like with the erratic singer.

I am writing to ask Marie Claire consider that some of these lies type articles about Britney are not just for entertainment, but represent a disturbing trend whereby women are attacking other women if that woman tries to achieve something in life. There are a lot of entertainers where you can find a lot of stories about excesses without having to make stuff up about Britney. You may not be aware but the LAPD has issued a statement saying they are not looking into any drugging allegations at all. The ROBBERY department is looking into the robbery issues that occurred when Britney was in the hospital and many of her things from her home were stolen after her father got rid of her managers and security, many things from expensive chandeliers, money wired out of her accounts and the like were said to occur. If you had quoted the police captains full statement you would have read he said nothing about looking into drugs but rather into “issues” relating to his robbery department.
Plus why perpetuate much of the lies that get written about her by referring to her as an "erratic singer". As a magazine that has a largely female audience, why not show some compassion for someone going through a tough divorce and custody battle. So many people have been calling Britney erratic due to her cutting her hair off when her auntie died of cancer and her divorce was underway. They also put her down for not having lost enough weight to do her music video after having her children. unlike many hollywood actresses rather than adopt she birthed her own children, and took time off from a phenomenal career to be with her babies most every day. She did not leave them with full time nannys like many hollwood people. You could write something just as interesting as an attack Britney and her friend Sam type article by maybe writing about things like isn’t it interesting Britney let her own body bear the children, and how she did not need nannys all the time, most unusual for entertainers indeed.
now the kids are of course full time with Kfed's nanny. Most women i know who have endured a broken heart after splitting from a tough situation such as philandering gambling husband who has used up much of the woman’s money as well, and where the woman leaves then for a reason as serious as he will not stop smoking dope around the children, those women are often needing some support and love.
During her divorce she has been depressed and crying at times, to me this is normal for most women in that situation. I also think if the lawyers are saying your crying and depression means you are going to lose all access rights, and you are holding your 1 year old it might be normal to sometimes be unable to hand that baby over. Most women would have just been allowed the extra time with the baby and had a court warning to hand over on time. Instead Britney got carted off to hospital for not being able to let her baby out of her arms.
i would think some writers at Marie Claire might have had children and know what it is like to not be able to see them, and to realize it might be normal for Britney to have been in some pain over this battle to see her children this year.
i also would of thought Marie Claire would not be agreeing with the types of writers in other magazines who believe because Britney had a career with fashion, or nightclubs or shop endorsements to fulfil, that she deserves to not see her children.
Remember that many men like Robert Downy Jr, Ossie Osborne, have not lost their custody rights. I do not see why your magazine lays into women entertainers, and give them no support, while men do not seem to be as harsh on other men.
The taliban in Afganistan banned women from going out in public, saying women cause problems in going out, and cause violence in men.
i would like Marie Claire to support Britney's right to be a human being rather than a machine during her tough divorce, her right to cry or be emotional at this time sometimes, and to support her right to do her fashion shop appearances and endorsements and to have a career without middle america saying she asks to be violated and attacked.
i am asking for your writers to do some interesting articles on why women who have no interesting career, or feel trapped in the world might find themselves wanting someone who tried to have a career, a boyfriend, money, friends and family to fall.
When people undergo a divorce, why lay in then with all the hate, and it seems to be women who are hte main ones laying in on the hate.
Spreading rumors that Britney got drugged by her best friend Sam, is an aspersion against Britneys ability to choose a friend. And yet at times we have all been betrayed by a friend, so again why lay in to her wiht nothing good to say.
in fact it is common knowledge, Sam was merely grinding up the tablets the Psychiatrist prescribed and he made a very open media statement to this effect a week before Lynne tried to pretend he was secretly drugging her.
Now the parents are still giving Britney sleeping tablets and the like much like the psych told Sam to do. it may be she had a bad reaction to the ones first prescribed,
but i know a bunch of people who have had stuff prescribed during their divorce, adn really i think people should lay off her if she had a bad reaction to her first prescriptions.
