Judge will rule on McCartney divorce

Heather Mills

Paul McCartney and Heather Mills have failed to reach a settlement in their divorce, meaning a judge will now rule how much of the former Beatle's fortune his ex-wife should receive.

After six days in the High Court, the decision will now be left to Mr Justice Bennett, who should announce his decision within three weeks time. It is believed that McCartney is worth a reported £825 million, and the settlement could result in one of the largest divorce cases Britain has ever seen.

It is believed that McCartney has offered the former model a figure in the region of £20 million, with additional annual payments until their three-year-old daughter Beatrice reaches 18. This would lead to a total settlement of £55 million, with the condition of a strict confidentiality agreement.

Although Ms Mills may receive less in the judges ruling, it is rumoured that it is the confidentiality issue that she is fighting. If she accepts Sir Paul's offer, then she will never be able to speak of her failed marriage, or seek the tell-all publishing deal that she is rumoured to be pitching for.

I cannot believe Paul did not do a prenup!!! It was obvious from the start what a scheming manipulating female she was. If only he had listened to his family and friends. But hindsight is a wonderful thing. I just hope and pray that the judge see's through her rantings etc. etc.
