Lily axed by Agent Provocateur

Lily Allen

Lily Allen has been axed as the new face of lingerie brand Agent Provocateur.

The singer had already shot the pictures for the new advertising campaign, after undertaking a rigorous fitness regime to get in shape, however the campaign has since been pulled.

The 22-year-old, who was set to replace Kate Moss, was caught in the crossfire between the company's two bosses, Joe Corré and Serena Rees, who are divorcing.

Serena chose Lily for the £60 million company's campaign, however creative boss Joe, son of Vivienne Westwood, rejected the decision.

One company insider said: 'Serena loves Lily and thinks she's young and sassy. But Joe wasn't keen and canned all the pictures.'

The news will do nothing to lift Lily's spirits after the star split from her Chemical Brothers boyfriend Ed Simons recently and received poor ratings for her new BBC3 chat show.

Agent Provocateur said the campaign photographs may still be used in a magazine editorial.

She's a strong kid and will bounce back. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. She's still young enough to grant other campaigns. So keep it real, Lily!
