Jolie-Pitt daughter targeted by kidnappers

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival Rex Features

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been forced to increase security at their home after their daughter Shiloh was targeted by kidnappers.

According to US reports the couple discovered an alarming note at the door of one of their homes. The note included a photograph of 20-month-old Shiloh and warned: 'We got this close already.'

An insider revealed: 'Shiloh has someone protecting her 24-7 and Brad and Angie are trying to avoid taking her out of the house. There have been frequent threats against their kids, but this time someone just got too close.'

Brad and Angelina are now considered two of the most security-conscious celebrities in the world. Their California home includes a £120,000 state-of-the-art control room manned by four staff and observers have estimated their security bill for 2008 could top £2.5 million.

How sad. A child's safety is being threatened just because its parents are famous. I think it is sick and pathetic and whoever would hold a child to ransom or threaten its safety needs major psychiatric treatment. I hope for Brad and Angelina's (and Shiloh's) sake that their security can protect them from this sick sad people.
