Tell-all books on Britney

Britney Spears Rex Features

Britney Spears’ so-called friends Sam Lufti and Adnan Ghalib are in talks to sell tell-all books about Britney’s recent breakdown.

Both her unofficial manager (Sam) and paparazzo lover (Adnan) are in talks with American publishers over books revealing all about her ‘psychotic’ meltdown, that has seen her placed in psychiatric care in LA’s UCLA Medical Centre.

‘That should tell you something about their true devotion to Britney and her interests,’ a Spears insider says of the cash-hungry pair.

‘These guys better get those books out real fast,’ says a former member of Britney’s legal team. ‘This story is changing daily. Unless those books include information the public already doesn’t know, those ‘tell-alls’ won’t mean much, given what may happen to Britney in the days and weeks to come.’

Meanwhile, an attorney for Britney revealed her estate is currently undergoing an IRS audit with her record label, Jive, in open court yesterday.

During a hearing contesting Spears’ father, Jamie, having conservatorship over her financial and medical affairs, Britney’s new attorney, Adam Streisand – the second cousin of showbiz legend Barbara Streisand – said: ‘Ms. Spears’ estate consists of $40 million in assets and is currently undergoing a $17 million IRS audit.’

Following the hearing, Commissioner Reva Goetz ruled that Jamie Spears would remain as co-conservator until another hearing on 14 February.
