Eva Mendes has checked into a rehabilitation clinic, her publicist has confirmed.
The 33-year-old actress entered the Cirque Lodge facility in Utah several weeks ago, which is the same centre that Lindsay Lohan checked into last year. The centre is well-known for treating patients with substance abuse, although it is unconfirmed whether this is the case for Mendes.
Publicist Brad Cafarelli released the following in a statement this weekend, 'Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support.'
Mendes was last week announced as the new face of Calvin Klein fragrance. The company vowed to stick by the actress and commented in a statement, 'We support Eva during this difficult time and respect her decision to seek professional help.'
