Josh Brolin to play George W. Bush?

Josh Brolin

Legendary director Oliver Stone is set make a film about US president George W. Bush - and wants Josh Brolin to play the title role.

Stone, who has previously made movies about former presidents John F. Kennedy (JFK) and Richard Nixon (Nixon), is in talks with No Country For Old Men star Brolin and hopes he will sign up for the project, which has a working title of Bush.

He told Variety magazine: ‘Josh (Brolin) is actually better looking than (George W.) Bush but has the same drive and charisma that Americans identify with Bush, who has some of that old-time movie-star swagger. I want a fair, true portrait of the man.’

Filming is set to start in April, as the script was written by Stanley Weiser - co-writer of Stone’s 1987 film Wall Street - before the Holywood writers strikes began in November.
