Beyoncé will cross picket lines for Grammys
Organisers of this years Grammy Awards can breathe a collective sigh of relief as Beyoncé Knowles and the Foo Fighters both pledge to perform - even if they have to cross picket lines to do so.
Other big-name stars have not been so accommodating Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent and Jon Bon Jovi have reportedly pledged their allegiance to the Writers Guild of America (WGA) members, who have been on strike since November over new media royalties.
Event organizers are adamant the show will go on as scheduled, despite the threat of protest from the striking writers. WGA union members insisted the Los Angeles music ceremony was unlikely to receive a waiver, halting potential picket action, earlier this week.
The organizers of the Golden Globe Awards failed to get a waiver, which resulted in the cancellation of last Sundays ceremony.
