Take That lead Brit nominations

Take That Rex Features

As if their comeback hasn't been phenomenal enough, Take That has now been short-listed for four Brit nominations.

The reformed boy band are joined by Mika and X Factor winner Leona Lewis, who have both won four nominations each.

Following their lead, singer Kate Nash, producer and performer Mark Ronson, Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs have all garnered three each.

This year's ceremony takes place at Earl's Court on 20 February and is set to be one of the most-talked about for years with performances from Kylie and Take That to name a few.

The boys are nominated for best group, best album for Beautiful World, best single for Shine and best British live act.

Despite the old faces reappearing, new talent has been recognised across the board with Mercury prize nominee Bat for Lashes winning two nominations, Jamie T for best British male and a critics' choice award for singer-songwriter Adele, dubbed the new Amy Winehouse.

Former Beatle Paul McCartney will be awarded for his outstanding contribution to music, after 45 years in the limelight.
