Britney Spears bipolar?
Britney Spears is suffering with bipolar disorder, fear friends and psychologists.
The troubled star spoke to TV psychiatrist, Dr Phil McGraw, before she left a psychiatric ward after failing to hand over her children to Kevin Federline when her court-appointed time with them was up.
Dr McGraw said: ‘My meeting left me convinced more than ever that she's in dire need of medical and psychological intervention. I'm very concerned for her.’
Manic depression is a bipolar disorder that can lead to mood swings, reckless behaviour, delusions and hallucinations. It may be caused by emotional damage or genetic factors.
The singer left the Cedars Sinai Hospital psychiatric ward on Saturday and is being comforted by a British paparazzi snapper, Adnan Ghalib, who she claims is ‘her only friend’.
One source said: ‘Britney is on the edge. It’s worrying - and ironic - that the only person she feels she can turn to is a paparazzo.
‘It’s like the lamb going to stay with the wolfpack. Britney knows Adnan because he has followed her relentlessly for months.
‘Her family are astonished a photographer is the person Britney turns to when she needs to step out of the media storm.’
Her family is said to be frantic with worry, but her father Jamie was
the only one by her side when she was released from hospital.
Yesterday, it was also claimed that in the day and a half before she was taken to the Cedars Sinai ward, Britney swallowed 100 pills washed down with a Purple Monster- a mixture of vodka, anti-flu syrup and an energy drink.
On a positive note, her single Piece Of Me jumped from 46 to 19 in the UK charts yesterday, but this will, surely, be cold comfort.

This poor child! She has been forced to grow up long before she was ready. She badly needs her mother to comfort her and tell her it will be all right. She needs to step out of the limelight and "find herself" without being judged.

My feeling is of sadness that she is not allowed to see her children. This will not help her in her recovery and, should Kevin Federline choose to turn the children against their mother, will play into his hands. I hope that he is not thinking along those lines, which is the result of some family break-downs.
I am not interested in Britney Spears but as a human being have my concerns.

I feel sorry for Britney, i think one factor that affects her,is her dysfunctional family and her playboy husband who wants her fame and money !

I just don't get it. Why are all of the newspapers and magazines going on about britney?....We all KNOW that she is in a bad state, but we dont NEED to know do we?
I think we should all imagine ourselves in her position...depressed, suicidal, lowest of lows...Now which one of you would WANT all of this media attention?
Leave the poor girl alone. Let her sort herself out with the help of the people and medics she needs.
Do you know what I would do if i saw Britney walking down the street?...I would NOT ask for an autograph, i would NOT want her to tell me about whats going on with her. I would simply take her to a cafe for a coffee and and talk about normal stuff...normal girly stuff.

Its very sad to see someone like Kevin F., who clearly from the very start wanted Britney just for her money and popularity, to manipulate so many peoples lives...We all know she is not saint ( driving children without proper seats etc etc.)but what is here coming through is obvious to everybody.
He will do anything to get more of her money even if he has to pronounce her a psycho and take care of the children he never even wanted in the first place!!!
But as every other scum once the time will catch up on him and he will rot in hell!

Britney's situation is incredibly sad and my heart goes out to her, but the real tragedy is that she is not the only woman to have lost custody of her children due to mental illness. Her high public profile means her case is extreme and receives a lot of attention, yet there are many unknown mothers who have suffered similar fates due to lack of understanding and compassion from society. I believe all mother's suffering any kind of illness or disability, physical or mental, deserve the utmost support the ensure they can maintain their relationships with their children. If Britney cannot receive this, even with her money and influence, then the countless mentally ill women who have lost their children really do have a battle on their hands.

Where was her Mother when she was at the hospital? In fact where has she been for the last year when her daughter has needed her most? I feel so sorry for Britney and whenever I read about her I just want to hug her.

I suffer from bi-polar too. I feel so sorry for her its hard enough for anyone to cope with it not taking into account all the extra hassle she gets. Her family have to understand that its quite common for people who suffer from mental illnessess often attatch themseleves to unlikely people. Its just what we do...part of the illness. She needs support not slander. xx

if britany does have bipolar i hope people will get out of her face and stop judging her.bipolar is a severe mental illness which i have suffered from for over 4 years.in my experience people are quick to judge and mock you just cause they see nothing physicaly wrong.im lucky to have support of my family and a great gp and shrink.so leave her alone to recover

She's obviously got problems but she is not helping herself by doing everything she can to be in the public eye. I feel sorry for her and wish I could reach out and help her. As someone with Bipolar I know what the highs and lows of this condition is like but I've also learnt the best way to control it is with help which Britney seems to not want.
She's need some serious time out, get away from the press and be with the people she trust and seek help, if that means spending months + in hospital then so be it. She still is young enough to recover and control a condition like Bipolar with the right meds and even make her music career again.
Britney for the sake of the kids please get help.
