Jamie Lynn Spears - Britney's 16-year-old sister - has announced she's expecting a baby.

Rather than share the news with her family first, Jamie Lynn chose to broadcast her good news via American OK! magazine, which is where Britney first learnt about it.

'It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,' the young TV presenter told the magazine. Adding of 19-year-old boyfriend Casey Aldridge, 'I was in complete and total shock and so was he.'

Big sister Britney has since released a statement to E! News, saying she 'wishes her sister nothing but the best and asks for privacy during this time'.

Mother Lynne tells OK!: 'I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious. She's never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.'

In other Spears-related drama, tabloids in the States are today reporting that Britney is planning a third marriage, to Sam Lufti.

'Britney is completely under Sam's spell,' a source tells Star magazine.

If she does go ahead with the wedding, ex-husband Kevin Federline claims he'll press on with plans to ban her from seeing her children completely.

Who Cares??? The girl is a complete tool and needs to wisen up. She should be concentrating on getting her kids back and being a good mother rather than releasing records and thinking about marriage!!!

britney spears may not be perfect but neither is her ex husband kevin,trying to permantly bab britney from seing her two sons wht kind of a man is he,odviously not a nice one to me he sounds like a control freak!

Well I thinkk tha says it all for Lynne Spears' parenting skills.

A 16 year old daughter pregenant, and another supposedly planning a third marriage in the middle of a custody battle.

i don't think amy can blame the spears parents...do you tell your parents everything you do? they cannot watch them every minute of the day.. i'm sorry but i don't believe it is fair to blame the parents here.

cannot believe her sister is having a baby, cant help but think the example britney is setting to her sister is an incredibly bad one! spears #2 to go off the rails and lose custody, anyone? i think so.

just normal life, trials and tribulations like anyone else, except they have a few million to help not worry about it!
lets hope she doesn't keep popping them out and have her own exclusive custody battle like her big sis!

Viv, ofcourse I didn't tell my parents everything when I was 16. I expect there are very few teenagers who do! But my parents set me examples and taught me that if I was responsible enough to have sex at 16 then I was responsible enough to know what contraception was and use it. Why should it be any different for the Spears'?
