SHE HAS ALWAYS seemed a generous soul – and now Sharon Osbourne has proved it.
The X-Factor judge was hosting a celebrity-packed fundraiser for Elton John's Aids Foundation over the weekend when she pulled off her £30,000 diamond ring and threw it into the audience.
The 55-year-old had already thrown the red Aids awareness ribbon she was wearing into the crowd at London Astoria's G-A-Y. Then she yelled: 'Here, have a diamond as well.'
The event marked the 20th anniversary of World Aids Day on 1 December with performances from Girls Aloud, Westlife and the Sugababes.
A friend told the Daily Mirror: 'It was a diamond ring that Sharon had bought for herself a while back. Sharon was having a great night and wanted to give something back to the crowd.
'Let's hope whoever caught it doesn't just sell it down the pub for £100.'
